Who are you affiliated with, and how long have you been in the real estate business?

I work with Keller Williams in Buckhead, and I have been in real estate for almost 9 years now!

What sparked your interest in real estate?

I do like homes but what is really exciting goes deeper than that. Home ownership is a powerful tool and many that I work with are discovering it for the first time. Buyers will buy not only to have a home to live in but then they get to build equity as well. If it is their second home it is like a HUGE step to their financial and life goals, even if it means they are downsizing. I also really like the idea of being able to protect my client’s interests and their money, I just love when clients end up with more money in their pocket that they didn’t even count on.

What’s your experience in the Atlanta market?

I am originally from the Northeast coast where cities are older and more developed than here in Atlanta. It is amazing to watch how Atlanta is so quickly growing, and buildings and homes are going from one level to multiple. There has been an influx of populations that is driving the growth and with growth comes bigger and better things!

What do you love most about the Atlanta market?

Atlanta has so much more growing to do, and there are many different people guiding it along. This city still has room for anyone to carve out their little corner.

How do you set realistic expectations for your clients?

I think it all starts with listening to their wants and needs. It also pays to understand that the first home is probably not their last home. So it’s okay for it to not be perfect.

What’s your experience with millennial clients?

Millennials tend to be very clear on their wants, which actually makes my job easier. I also love that the tech language is already there and I don’t have to walk them through the apps or sites.

What advice do you have for millennials who want to become homeowners in the future?

The better your credit score, the more power you have. Pay attention to your monthly credit report. Also property appreciates, and cars do not. LOL.

What advice do you have for millennials who want to pursue a career in this business?

It is definitely not for the faint of heart but can be extremely rewarding. You can be as successful as you want. It all depends on how much effort you put into it. Also call me!
