Meet Pastor James & First Lady Surri Berry of Harvest of Faith Church
An Interview with Jessica Wise
Throughout history, Black people have clinged to FAITH to get through hard times, connect with our ancestors, guide our life principles, and manifest liberation. With religious bigotry continuing to be a problem in the US, more millennials and Gen Zers are rejecting and exiting the church and organized religion altogether.
Pastor James Berry and First Lady Surri Berry of Harvest of Faith Church in Aurora, Illinois are progressive millennial leaders who strive to end religious bigotry through their ministry and community outreach. We encourage everyone of every faith to watch this video in full to examine Black History in faith more closely and see how these leaders are working to change the narrative by BEING the change.
